HiCotton History
|
I have had dogs my whole life and began competing in 1973 with my first Golden Retriever in Obedience, Conformation, and Tracking. After having several litters, I went back to school and obtained a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology. Later, I got back into breeding and competing with Labrador Retrievers in hunt tests and later, the very competitive Field trials. In 2001, I got my first PBGV, CH. Plumtree Redhot Twist N’ Shout and began showing in Conformation again. I got “Lucy” as an 8-week-old puppy from Julia Kuni of Plumtree Farm in the Atlanta, Georgia area.

In the process of raising Lucy and showing her to her championship, I fell in love with PBGVs. I set about learning all I could about the breed through our national club, PBGVCA, and from my friends and associates in the breed.
I have since added several girls to my group and have bred my first Bred by Champion, CH. HiCotton Dance to the Music, “Lola”.

Late 2006, I moved all of us to Jonesborough, Tennessee where we live in the beautiful hills of east Tennessee.
